SCHOOL GYM UNIFORM AND SHOES - Students must wear their gym uniform to school on gym days. Only the gym shirt and shorts purchased from Uniformity may be worn. All students are required to wear uniform shoes also from Uniformity. Any child, who will not be measured for uniforms and shoes on June 6, must go to the store to be measured by the end of June. Again, we remind you that all school uniform items MUST be purchased from Uniformity.
SCHOOL BOOKS - are the responsibility of the students. Books must be in good condition and all pages clean when they are handed in at the end of the school year. If books have been damaged, students will be financially responsible for their replacement.
END-OF-YEAR CELEBRATIONS FOR NURSERY, PRE-K AND KINDERGARTEN - Siblings in Grades 1 to 7 will not be invited to attend these celebrations because they need to be in their classrooms.
TRAPPERS - may not be used in school. Eight-pocket folders are sold in the school office and in several local stores. Before buying supplies for your children, please refer to the list the teachers will provide for their students for the new school year. The supply list will be available on our website after July 1.
SUMMER READING/MATH ASSIGNMENTS - will be given out to students in Grades K to 7. The reading list is a suggestion; similar books may be substituted except for students in Grades 6 & 7. Every child must read and memorize basic math facts over the summer. The more you encourage your child to read and do math, the better student s/he will become. The book report form your child brings home in June must be signed by a parent and returned to school in September. Summer reading counts as part of a language arts book report mark for the first marking period in the fall. Students will be given a timed math test at the beginning of the school year of the basic facts studied over the summer.
LAST DAY OF SCHOOL – is Friday, June 20. Your child will bring home his/her report card. With it will be our June letter containing important information (including opening-of-school dates and times for September), the Parent Service confirmation letter, and the summer reading requirements. It is very important that you keep this information in a safe place, since there will be no further contact from the school office over the summer. The school office will close for the summer at 12 noon on Tuesday, June 24, and will be open on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, August 26, 27, and 28 from 9 a.m. to 12 noon.
CONGRATULATIONS TO THE GRADUATING CLASS OF 2008 - We wish each of them success in high school and many blessings throughout their lives.
